Fuel Filter
Guys, what fuel filter do you recommend.
The parts store gave me a GKI fuel Filter,
made out of plastic, doesn't even tell you which end is in or out...
I need to change it cause my 1982 12a bucks (fuel starved) above 90km per hour...

You don't *have* to...
But a clean fuel filter flows more than a dirty one. It won't get any dirtier than any other filter, 'cause it's got the same gas running through it.
I still change mine once a year anyway, for good measure. That's probably more than you need to, but I figure it's $5 and 5 minutes, so why the hell not.
The Canadian Tire filters are good enough. They have a directional arrow on them, and are the same as the stock Mazda filters pretty much.
Cool, you're in Gatineau! I'm in Aylmer! PM me, maybe we can meet up some time.
Are you coming to the Ottawa meet ? May 15th at the Kanata Recreational Complex, starting at 2pm, but people will be there early. Check the Canadian forum, they've got a stickie at the top about it.

I am running two filters for extra security. One cheapy Canadian Tire looks like an older ford model with directional arrow then a Mr Gasket see thru near the carb. This just allows me to see the quality of the fuel coming from the tank.
Had an older B2200 with rusty tank and fuel was pretty dirty so like now to have a visual on a 22 yr old car.
