fuel capacity??

what is the mpg for a stock 12a in a 81 rx7???

As for gas mileage, it depends on what mods are done, etc. You can get anywhere from 10-25. For stock, I would think somewhere in the lower to mid 20's. Welcome to the forum and feel free to check out the FAQ at the top of the first gen section.

Hmm, I am pulling (mostly highway) 25ish on my streetport. I do have some wierd issues though. Could be on to something there...

I swear I read somewhere that it was 16 gallons. Maybe that was for the 85/85? The original post confused me since it was stated as fuel capacity but the asked the MPG. Who knows...

OK, i just found the info in the haynes: In the back, in the revision for later models(81-85) it says the tank in 16.4 gallons. And before that was 14.5

On page 6 in the Haynes manual it says 14.5gals., above that it says for info on 81 to 85 models see chapter 13, there it says 16.4gals.
So I guess that 79-80 is 14.5, and 81 to 85 is 16.4 ?

wow i was close.. yay.. and sorry i didnt read the post close enough...

i get about 11-20 L/100Km (close to 20 when i feel like having some fun)

not sure of the conversion atm.. ill figure it out tomorrow

damn on a "good" tank of gas, driving "normal" I get 10 mpg. lol.

thanks for all the help...i wanted to know about mpg but also got how big the fuel tank is so that helped a lot...thanks

^ id say its the mikuni carb, but even then it shouldn't be that low, i couldn't afford to drive mine if the milage was that bad...i just got back from filling up and i got 19.17 mpg on my last tank with my racing beat 600 setup on my 4 port 13b. and i always have my foot in it
