fuel capacity??
As for gas mileage, it depends on what mods are done, etc. You can get anywhere from 10-25. For stock, I would think somewhere in the lower to mid 20's. Welcome to the forum and feel free to check out the FAQ at the top of the first gen section.
I swear I read somewhere that it was 16 gallons. Maybe that was for the 85/85? The original post confused me since it was stated as fuel capacity but the asked the MPG. Who knows...

On page 6 in the Haynes manual it says 14.5gals., above that it says for info on 81 to 85 models see chapter 13, there it says 16.4gals.
So I guess that 79-80 is 14.5, and 81 to 85 is 16.4 ?
Ryan, you beat me by 2 mins., I type s l o w.

^ id say its the mikuni carb, but even then it shouldn't be that low, i couldn't afford to drive mine if the milage was that bad...i just got back from filling up and i got 19.17 mpg on my last tank with my racing beat 600 setup on my 4 port 13b. and i always have my foot in it
