Question Front rotor squeaks when I don't press the brake

I have replaced tons of hardware in the breaks and wheels. I don't know what else could be causing this squeaking. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I have a '79. Front disks (rear drums). The front brakes squeaked. I put on new rotors (raybestos), new brake pads (raybestos), new/rebuilt callipers. Oh and I got new bearings too. (All this was replaced on both sides.)

For a couple days I drove the car without any problems. After a few days though I find after I've been driving for say 10 minutes the right break squeaks. If I press on the break the squeaking stops. Sometimes I can drive for a bit after pressing and releasing the break before the squeak starts again.

Last night a couple times I felt the car pull to the left. I pressed on the breaks (not really hard but not just lightly) and the pulling stops. I take my foot off the break and the car is no longer pulling to the left.

I did bleed the brakes (both front sides) after changing the callipers until no bubbles came out for a couple cycles. I also bled the master cylinder. I think I might need to re-bleed them because when the car is running the brake pedal feels like it's going down farther then before I replaced the rotors.

When the car is off I can pump the break pedal and I feel pressure building up. This doesn't happen when the car is on. I assume this is because the break booster is running when the car is on. As far as I know it's always been like this.

Before I did the rotors the left wheel was much worse than the right. Since replacing the rotors (a week or two ago) so far the left hasn't squeaked yet.

The only other thing I noticed is that the first couple times I heard the right wheel squeak were when I was turning slightly left and the squeak stopped when I straightened out. Since then the squeak will start on it's own when I'm driving straight.

Any ideas about what could be causing the squeaking?

I have been searching the forum and my brakes never had the metal shim between the pad and the calliper. I didn't know there was supposed to be anything there.

I ordered a hardware kit and replaced the little springs that press the pads away from the center of the wheel. (Those long thin springs that press against the side of the pad.)

I bought anti-rattle springs but had a heck of a time trying to get them in so I gave up and left them out. They took up space and pushed the calliper out so it was impossible to get the metal stopper plates that hold the calliper in place between the mounting bracket and the calliper.
