front and rear trans seals

i have an 85 12a 5 speed and im changing the clutch next weekend, and while i have it out im going to swap out the trans seals. i was on rock auto and there were several different ones that ranged from $8 to $30. all it shows are part numbers, so i don't want to order the wrong thing. can someone help me out and show me the ones i need. thanks.

The front seals are the same through 92 and the rears are the same for all fb's so i don't know what you are looking at besides maybe brand options.

I am doing basically the same thing...I am putting a SA22 5 speed into an SA with a 4 speed.

I thought about doing the same thing....changing the seals. The rear seal looks easy. I have not really looked at the front seal.. How do you change the front seal?

BTW...I am ready for a 5 speed.... Running 4000 RPM at 70 MPH is getting old!

The seal replacement is very easy. Consult the FSM for the correct procedure. It's basically a removal of the front cover, replace seal, replace gasket.
