front cover removal

i need to get the front cover off a 13b to replace it witha first gen friendly front cover. i dont have many tools so i have little to work with.

I belive doc did a short how to on the front cover removal. Hardest part will be breaking the e-shaft bolt loose. It has some tough threadlock. Heat the bolt first to break the bond. This is best done with the engine out of the car if possible.

In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, download the 84-85 edition and follow the proceedure in the engine build section.

Is this going to be one of those we ask 50 questions to find out exactly what you are doing?

Are you trying to remove the cover without removing the water pump housing? Is the engine in or out of the vehicle?
