front brake rotors?

so I went to auto parts store got 85 12A rotors and bearings then when I went to put them on the car they don't match. they gave me larger rotors without wheel stud threads. Are they wrong or has a prior owner swapped front ends with another year? The ones on the car are smaller rotor and wheel studs thread into the rotor. Hmmmmmm.

They could have given you 13B (GSL-SE) rotors. They are a little bigger than ours I believe. Did they give you the right bearings?

yup, they gave you the wrong rotors. I am actually in the process of doing the brake job on my 85 12a as we speak. The rotor assembly is the rotor and the hub, they are one piece. Hence when you swap rotors, it is a good idea to replace the wheel bearings (inner and outers and the oil seal). I don't know what the 13b rotors look like, but my guess is they gave you those, post up pics and I am sure we could help.

Good Luck

Ryan

Ps- if you have any questions about doing the brakes, shoot me a PM and I'll try to help you out.
