Unless whoever built that car swapped over and adapted an intake manifold from a later model rotary engine, its definately not a 12a. Looks like a 13B to me. He doesnt actually say its a 12a, and I dont know specifically what model engines were offered in singapore but if I was to take a guess it looks like an S4 or S5 turbo II motor with extra injectors installed.
This looks to me as if it was pulled out of an 86-92 model car.

IMO this engine is superior to a 12a, and probably makes a considerable amount more power, probably putting out some good #s if it need extra injectors, and a microtech.
If the price is good, Id jump all over that car.

Twin coil packs indicate Gen1onr is correct, that is a nice car but what does that price mean in US$

strange car...

was originally red...not a very good blue spray job from the pics

motor strange....def s4/5 turbo...but extra injector plumbed in and not wired up at all. Also...microtech installed but why leave 2 x original coils in place ?

and where is the battery ?

also...if front mount intercooler where is piping back to intake ?

the pipping is maybe under the engine, cannot see the intake on the pic , i saw the injector also, n its a bit strange if its there is no wire!

for the money , singaporian $ is the half of a euro! (kidding)

the guy told me the car has 360 Hp, i ll see...but the sound of the engine is really wild

may you give me more information about the engine S4/5 T2 ,how much HP stock, etc, thx

S4/S5 TII is a second gen rx7 (s4 is 86-88, s5 is 89-92) fitted with a turbocharged 13B.

I am not sure on stock horsepower ratings.

Looks like the manifold had some injector bungs welded on for like an AIC setup for upgrading the turbo system. Looks like it was midway through the project or something. Never seen it done that way before. Not a bad idea. Looks like fun.

Stock S4 and S5 turbo engines make 185 and 200HP respectively.

That setup is highly modified,it should make the HP he claims, with ease.
I never understood why people put the extra injector bungs in the intake runners, especially another FOUR injectors. The stock 550cc primary injectors and some big secondary's,in the stock injector ports can make that HP,and then some.
In any case,it looks like a seriously quick ride,if its all tuned and prepped right.Be careful, make sure the rest of the car is capable of safely handling the power.

I don't even see a throttlebody. Are you sure that car is running? It looks awesome, and definately has potential, but I wouldn't bother with it until the kinks are worked out.

Take same more pics of the engine so that we can check it out and see what's going on. Maybe better pics will help us understand that engine setup .

interesting engine for sure, overall the exterior of the car look pretty clean and stuff, the inside could use a little more cleaning up,

THe battery is there, just painted like the rest of the wires, its under that black cover.

Definitely seems to be missing some parts as the rest mentioned.

Take pics of the throttle body and intercooler plumbing. The pics on the site don't show them. I'm curious how they were run. Did you take it for a test drive?

If you blow up the engine picture and look carfully, youll see the throttlebody and the factory end cap that connects it to the IC piping......its there.Theres also a hose clamp on the TB cap,so I surmise that the IC piping is routed low,out of sight in that picture. It would appear to be a complete running setup....albeit a messy one.

Really examine the engine bay and youll see what I mean......dirt,random hoses and hoseclamps, old coils, corrosion,an old cruddy radiator.....ect.
Not that any of this stuff would keep it from being a fast car,but it speaks out loud about the builder/seller's attention to detail, and possibly their abilities......

ok, so tonight i did a test drive:

the car is ok, the engine is powerful, no strange sound!
i checked for the throttle boddy n the FMIC, they are there but it looks a bit lousy, n old!
the chassis is really efficient, n the suspension looks ok
the probem is the tuning of the car! the microtech managed until 1bar after no more fuel n the air fuel ratio gauge become crazy!i dun know if the injectors are stock or not?n if they r able to support so much pressure?????

i got some new information, the engine is from japan n fully rebuilt, with port n polished work on!its an old 13B engine!

i negociated with the guy to make the tuning n change the clutch n other parts before selling me the car, i ll have more info tomorrow!

ps: first time i drive a turbo rotative engine, n so far so fast addicted, awesome car
