I think I'd have to put wheels on mine...

Man, some people have too much time on their hands.

The time and effort put into these pieces is great, very nicely finished.

Lol! so true. I might build one of those with a rotary engine. Hmm, 12A or 13B? 20B?

mabey its just me, but I dont see how on earth you could make a table out of a rotary. Although I didnt think you could make one out of a v8 either.

That second one is one damn spendy coffee table!

I like how they did the first one with the pistons.

Hmmm... I have a 13b sitting in the garage just begging to be turned into a table like that! Maybe tilt it so the shaft is vertical though and only build it up to the 1st rotor and housing so you can see what it looks like in there. I'd have to make it a moving coffee table, mount the e-shaft to the table and the housing/plate to the floor. That way you could spin the glass and watch how the rotary engine works!
sounds like a good winter project!

Yeah teh second one looks like it was modded out pretty heavily... my guess is that it blew (like pissed-ons are known to do o so frequently), and the guy (gurl??) didn't have much to do with it.

Do they make anvils out of boinger blocks, and hammers out of pistons?

I like the functionality of the V8 one...

While the Nissan (Or is it Toyota?) dual cam one is nice, it's got two things against it:

A.) Complete engines should belong in cars, parts can be used for art...

B.) No stylish/creative reuse of parts... It's a complete engine with all the parts where they should be, and some rods added on to hold the surface...

I like how they used the pistons in the boinger and removed the crank and oil pan for the floor surface.

I'd use a stack of old rotor housings (And one front housing) where the blown seals have gouged the internal surface into uselesness as a wastebasket.
