found a GSL rear end, before I buy it does it look OK?

I am looking to pick up a LSD/disc axle for my 85 GS, found this:

It's about 80 miles away and I'd have to take the truck, so can you fellow 1st gen guys help me vet it? Can you spot any big red flags?

The guy selling it says: "Complete except for brake lines and no backing plates."

Are these backing plates?

I see many pictures of rear axles and hubs on google images, and not many actually have that part, so I wonder if it is strictly necessary?

Thanks!

Update, he took the axle shafts out to cut them off. So everything is still spaced right. I think I'm gonna get this rear end for my project.

It looks like the left one has a backing plate, but if he took the axles out the disks wouldn't be there.

This post shows what the bolt pattern and backing plate for a GSL rear axle looks like. You still need it to cap the end of the axle and prevent it from popping out.

Brake lines aren't too hard to make up, but if it comes with that T-fitting the swap will be easier.

The T-fitting is there in the picture, right? If so yeah it came with it.

Yep that's the T fitting. The brake line nipples are usually pretty hard to get out of that thing, you need to be careful not to damage it, the bracket it's on or the lines.
