FMOC replacement question

So it looks like I'll need to change out a FMOC on an SA. Just wondering if there is anything specific I'll need to do (like pre-fill the cooler or burp the system) or can I just replace the cooler / lines and insure there is enough oil to let the pump fill the circuit?

It would be nice to prefill the cooler before startup but the issue is that until the cooler is warm, the oil cooler T-stat is in bypass mode. I can't think of any way to pouring oil in the lower hole and then putting the cooler on the car without making a mess.

What I do is just put 5 qts in pan and then check the level after a goof heat cycle. I also like to convert to -10AN fittings and new -10an nylon brained PTFE hose.

This kit is enough to do two cars (minus the 16mm and 18mm adapters)
