Flywheel stuck!!!
i spun the nut back on loosly and hit the end of the eshaft while i had a prybar behind the flywheel. barely took pressure and only a few hits. i stuck a socket on the end of the shaft so i didnt damage anything. give it a try it might work. peace
Don't recommend hitting the e-shaft. Do you have any idea of the potential damage to the side seals, bearings and torringtons? I personally don't like beating on the flywheel to begin with just because of this. There are better ways to do this, that's why I modded the puller in the pic. Once I have tension on it, by the time I walk across the shop and return with the hammer, more than half of the flywheels have popped off. Those that don't only need a light tap.
Thats true.
By all rights, the flywheel should WANT to fall off. After all,you are taking it off of a tapered shaft that is trying to pop it off.Its not a slip-on or an interference fit, hence the giant gland nut to retain the bond between the two.

what worked i guess was just beating on it for the days i couldnt get it off. i also used a puller and wrenched on it till i couldnt , hit the flywheel more wrench on it again. after a couple of times it popped off.
