I just did that and can not remember the size and pitch, however, you should have some bolts laying around that you removed to get to the point of removing the flywheel. I used one of the bolts to thread into the holes and then ran to the local hardware with the bolt that fit and picked up 2 longer bolts. I am not sure but I almost think they are the same pitch as the clutch bolts but do not hold me to it.

Not to **** any one off, but he is talking about the two holes that you screw a puller into on the flywheel so you can pull it off. But I am curious how you made your own socket caruana. I had to purchase a 2 1/8 for 45.00. OUCH !

I just made my own socket with some crap steel
started to weld peices of metal around the nut. then i welded a 1/2 inch drive socket to it and then you have a custom socket ive used it a bunch of times works great

Thanks, I found some bolts that work, but I also found out that my home made puller to dam small, oh well. The big jesus nut wasn't to bad, once I got the 1" drive socket the 1" to 3/4" adapter and the 3/4" to 1/2" adapter and shop air.

Was only planning on replacing the pilot bearing, but now getting a lightened flywheel to go with it.

Sorry, no, a bushing would need a constant supply of oil for lube and cooling while the clutch is pushed in. Needle bearings can get by with the captured bearing grease.

Sears was my first thought but the one here was closed and replaced with this tiny 20 x 20 building with appliances and a few tools. I would have had to go about 70 miles to a different sears, than it would have been more with the gas ! At least I only had to buy it once, lifetime warranty.

did you get the pilot bearing out okay ? I ordered the tool from mazdatrix and returened it cuz we never had to use it. Just busted the needle bearings and pryed against the lip that remained with a large screwdriver. Slid right out with a little force. Of course I wouldn't recommend this umless you are pulling off your flywheel and have a magnet handy
