nice fire show... but each burst of flame and "pop" means torque that coulda been put to good use.

but oh well, i'll bet it scares off supra owners though!

btw, how do you pop 'em flames? hold ithe redline or what?

Cool

at stop i pull the choke and rev up to 6 or 7 hold, let off gas and then push choke in

driving i go to 5th sit shift to 3rd so it redlines then shift to 5th again really fast

or i can just let off the gas at anytime...best is around 4 to 5 keepin it there and the let off till it drops to 4 then back up to 5 and keep going after that every time you rev up to 5 and then let it drop to 4 i have flames

Well,

I don't have a manual choke on the 13B FI I don't think so how would I go about trying it?

I'm going to try the RPM gimmick but I have an exhaust leak so this probbaly isnt the best idea...>

I've had flames before. My friend saw them from his camaro that I just raced. I kicked his ***, and as I was decellerating from about 6000 rpm in third he said he saw a few flames out the back end.

Kettlman cool flames, but what's up with the flames in the front? It looks like your engine bay is on fire... Must just be a reflection of the glass.

yes. my car has the racing beat header, presilencer and a straight through muffler, so does my wifes. works real well. especially if you run lean.

it's all right. now i get to try to rebuild an engine, and make it faster than mine!

When you downshift you should rev-match your speed (mph) to your speed (rpm) that your about to engage to. 4th gear 3000 rpm...downshift to 3rd gear rev it up to about 4000 rpms while your in neutral then put it in 3rd and engage the clutch being sure not to touch the clutch pedal while your driving down the road. I believe this should allow everything to last the longest. I need to richen my mixture so that I can shoot flames but I also have an exhaust leak behind the exhaust manifold. My TII on the other hand should shoot TWO flames.

The way I do it is to

rev it up to 6500ish and the pump the gas pedal in a way that the AP starts really pumping the gas in. Then I rev it way up to about 8 and let it drop to 4 and bang. huge **** of a flame. I have noticed also that once it starts doing it you can keep it going consistently for a decent amount of time.

Basically, once the exhaust gets enough raw fuel dumped into it it will keep popping flames until all the raw fuel is either burnt or it evaporates away. The largest I have done is estimated at roughly 1 foot wide by 2.5 to 3 feet long. I saw it in my rear view mirror, and my tips are angled up if that gives you an idea.
