Unhappy fixing rims

ok today i was driving and some idiot pulls over into my lane for no appearnt reason i had to stop so fast my brakes locked up and my rear end slid into the curb on the drivers side and bagned the lip of my wed sports pretty bad , and i was wondering if any of u guys have any suggestions as to fix this without going to a rim place (i cant afford that for now). i heard that i could sand down the scraces wich appears to work ok for a temp solution. any tips or suggestions would help thanx

Post a pic. I have had luck sanding and feathering out light/moderate curb rash. If it's dented, wheel shop.

i ll try to put some pics up tomorrow and the rim is actually dented slightly in several areas but the outer edge is seriously messed up about 1/3 of the wheel is pretty bad ive sanded off the light stuff with sucsess but im thikin that i might need to visist a wheel place for that. all this makes me seriously P.O. ive been told that my rims are worth qiute a pretty penny being 2 peice 15 inch weds and for good measure ill have a pic of my car up too

Start with 120 grit paper on a wood or metal block. You will need to work up to 2000 grit wet/dry and polish from there. For the dent, save up for the wheel shop.
