fixing bent steel wheels? Enkei
I've got a set of Enkei 15" 1st gen wheels but they have a dent like a flatspot on the top of the rim on two of them. I was wondering if there was anywhere that can fix them so they are useable. Other then that they are fine, just need new tires unless they go on a widebody car. I have no use for them and hate to see them just sitting there especially with how hard it is to find that bolt pattern.
Just wish my friend would have sold me his first gen for $800 that I spent all winter doing a free engine swap with him last year to get it going. Then he moved out of town and found out he sold it for that much cause he took it before it was ready It ran but idled at 2000. Met the kid that bought it and he found 1 hose we missed capping off and replaced the intake gasket, now runs great, I knew it had an air leak somewhere.........anyway these wheels need to get fixed so they can go to a good home

Dang, nowhere near me (Michigan). I was told they were steel, never really checked though. They're just sitting in my pole barn. I just want to fix them and sell them for a fair price. Someone should get some use out of them. Would help compensate for the engine swap that took forever (when planing to do emissions removal still label things, they start from everything connected and just say leave this one where it is......doh).
I'd just sell them as is, but don't want someone to get them and not be able to use them. They have good tires but super high profile (from a widebody) so new tires would be needed.

Fixing costs usually eat into resale costs.
The last aluminum wheel I had fixed cost about $110 - which is not much less than used resale market value.
