Man, what a sweet ride!!!!
Like the mirrors? I have a pair of those extra
They came on European versions, since the US power mirrors are illegal overhere (but look so much nicer, so I have them on my car anyway)...
Anyway, the pic IS from a catalog, I can't remember which year though. Since it has an "FB" VIN it should be 84-85? At least for the EU market RX7's were all "SA22" from 79-83, both the early as the later body style. Since VIN numbers could be different in different countries, I cannot say I'm sure though.
It's a crime though, he says the pic was taken at the bodyshop, while it's a Mazda pic!!! Buying cars on Ebay, it's pretty dangerous... Although I did once got a very good price on a FD...

OK, thanks, now I learned something! I was always wondering about that, because you guys seemed to claim SA was the steel bumper version and FB the plastic bumper version (to simplify things), but overhere the first years (81-83) the updated version was still having SA VIN numbers. So I didn't understand. Now I do! We also refer to them as Mk1, 2 and 3. Only the FB's have the late style dash (as in the GSL-SE), where the SA all have the early style dash, even the ones with late style bodies.
And yes, that auction is a fraud!

so yeah, it carfaxes out iffy (minor rear end damage), and the seller is trying to say it's a GSL-SE when we KNOW for a FACT that the VIN he gave us is for a 12A powered car... I'd steer clear...
