Welcome. Definitely get pics. Easy bolt ons for some more power would be exhaust, cone filter/intake, AC delete that sort of thing

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside.

Paint color sounds interesting, definitely post pics both before and after would be great to show off what you've done with the car. I'll need to see the 17's on the car first, 16's are usually the max diameter wheel on 1st gens, appearence wise. Also curious where you came up with an IMSA wing.

In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, car manuals, and other rotary related reading material. Be sure t read through the FAQs, forum rules and download whatever you find of interest.

As others have said, welcome.
I always advise people to get the car reliable, before trying to tweak it for more power. Once it has proven to run correctly, everytime, then start to work at making it run better. Nothing worse than fighting with a car that has issues, while trying to tweak more power out of it.

Is it the IMSA whaletail or the dealer-option spoiler that looks sort of like the 2nd gen spoilers?

17" is pretty big on a 1st gen. 16" looks good but 17" usually looks like they don't quite fit under the wheelwells, even if they do. (They usually don't ).

I guess you have a GSL-SE then being that you have a 13B? Well there are many ways to get more power. Just search and you will find what you want.

As far as the 17's go, not sure it will look that great, at least to some of us 1st gen owners. Just for reference, here is a 16x7 wheel with 195/50R16 tire on the back of my 82. Please excuse the bad shape the body is in and the spare on the front.

Yeah I think 17's are big but I have seen some that look good. With me, even 16" is pushing it. When he said stock IMSA wing I just thought of the regular 3 piece wrap around and not the actual IMSA wing. Hey 85rotarypower, did I notice a dual exhaust system on that?

Yup thats a dual exhaust you see there. I could go into how I did it but it would take up half the forum space

Keep a lookout in the next couple months for a full writeup on my car. I figure I'll make my novel when its mostly done, and expect plenty of pictures.

Sweet. Duals are cool but I wouldn't want them on my 7. Just preference
