a couple of clips are broken on my brake pad shims, i just used some industrial silicon with a 210 degree celcius temp point. d'u think it will be ok? - who ever did the brakes before me seemed to do the same thing. i just got new rotors/ brearings/pads/seals for the front 2 wheels woo, almost together.

Should be fine. All the clips do is keep the pad from rattling when you go over bumps in the road. The silicone should have the same effect. The temp rating is probably enough for everyday driving as well. For race, you'd most likely melt that silicone.
