Finally got my car running enough to drive, stumbles in 3rd and above
After running the car up in 2nd and into trhird it bogs hard and falls on its face, around 4500rpms IIRC, same at 3200rpms in 4th it bogs out, and fianlly around 2500 in 5th as well.
Leaning out or too fat with the fuel? I dont know if my secondaries are opening up(i dont really feel them, but I am a FI man from day 1, this is my first carb.....
I am wondering if there is a way to test it from a standstill or a surefire way to see if I am rich or lean.
after i first got the car it flooded out the secondaries, but today it just started right up, no problems with flooding or anything. So maybe the sec. jets are clogged?
i have a spare carb i am rebuilding(then it goes on and other one goes to Yaw) but am a little confused on the machanics of the secondaries and all of the throttle linkages. I have the Haynes manual and am browsing some documents as I am typing on the nikki specs/diagrams/etc
oh and btw car is stock

not wise ***, actually, like i say i piddled with it for a while, and after i was running i drove it, took her back to the shop it was dark and didnt feel like getting a ticket after the sheriff rode my *** for a good 2miles on my test excursion!(no insurence, reg, inspectrion =P ) so i basically called it a day and was planning looking from pump all the way up to the carb. Carter and regulator are waiting to go in, maybe ill have an excuse to put em in =)
