finally done...again..13b rew in 1st gen

The project started about 7 to 8 months ago finished it in june ...well I had alot of fun with it untill one day on the freeway messing with a corvett I chiped a tiny piece of the apex seal. Well I decided to rebuild it an now it is finaly done. Yesterday when I first tried to start it I tried to prelube the motor and noticed I was not getting any oil pressure....about shat myself.. but then low and behold I remeberd earler in the day I cliped 3 wires so that I could move part of the wiring harnes and paint behind it. So I fixed that.... oil presure showed up , and let the smoking begin..( I used a lot of asimblely lube) after 5 min of ideling I checked compresion and got 95,94,95 on the front rotor and 93,94,93 on the rear rotor. I used the rotary aviation apex seal and rebuild kit....I hower did clearance the apex seals even though they are suposed to be self clearancing ..I also replaced my 5th gear syncro. I will post some pictures later.

could you possibly let us know about how much you had to invest/replace in order to get the 13b into your FB(ecu, etc.). There's that guy in Jacksonville I believe who imports the REW's and I've been debating it...I'll be repainting my car within a year myself and plan on doing the engine swap myself. I can't wait to see your pics.

I had to pay ... I think ... 1,500 for the drivetrain harnes and ecu......360 for the exaust, 400 for a welder, some steal, and various tools. I had to make a custom engin cradel and trany mount. I also had to butcher the oil pan. and it took right around two months the first time working on it about every other day.

Dude,

My friend Eric would love to talk to you. He's got a 13b-rew that he wants to put in his first gen, and definitely would need some advice on some things

Do you mind if I PM you his details?

Jon

ChunkyMonkey as far as hp....when I had the pmc piggy back I think it was anywhere from 320 to 340. It was enough to lay down ruber "both tires" for a hole block in second gear at 60 mph. vipernicus42 as far as asking questions I do not mind a bit.
