Be careful with putting the cup holders over the electronics!! My wifes old Montero Sport had problems with the condensation dripping on the stereo after you finished your drink and slid the unit back in, caused all kind of problems for the stereo.

By the way Manntis....Great job on your set up!!

thank you.

I'm trying to decide whether to make the trim plate a black or brushed stainless finish. I'm leaning towards black as all that stainless in an otherwise plastic interior might look odd.

For those of you thinking of making something similar for your dash I created a simple how-to on one of my websites:

Outstanding write up Manntis! Good Job with the diagrams and everything. You posted it very quickly on a site too.

MODS - I recommend to Archive!

P.S. - Are you a Web Designer/Hoster?

I design my own sites but I pay ISPs to host 'em depending on content. I have hosts scattered throughout North America.

My goal is to fill that site with low-buck "how to's" like my cupholders or the start button mods.

I'm also reconstructing old Car & Driver articles (text and images, not huge scanned pics of the originals) and same for the 1984 RX-7 brochure from Mazda.

That, and an interview with Kenichi Yamamoto, should make the site of interest to ReXers.
