Getting a noise in 1st and 2nd!
I just noticed that I am getting a bit of noise that seems to be coming from the shifter or my transmission. I have a 1985 SE manual (unbelibably with less than 70K original miles). My Haynes book suggests it could simply be the need for some gear oil. It has been very hot her and I tend to take each gear as far as will go, so this could be it. If so, where is the fill plug? Unfortunately my book wants me to do a "tear down and rebuild" and all I want to do is add some gear oil. Got any suggestions about the cause of the noise and getting the oil in??
