A few thread pitch/sizes needed, coil question

1. Does anyone happen to know the threading on the spark plugs?

2. The diameter of the spark plug hole where the threadings go?

3. Thread pitch for stock lug bolts?

4. Would coils being placed close to the plugs have any electrical interference for the engine? I am not concerned with radio static, more with misfirings, etc.

I am bored and brain is wheelin, I think I have a design made up.

1. 14MM X 1.25 (https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...26&postcount=7) I need to double check on this

2. ???

3. 12 x 1.5mm (https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...lug+bolt+pitch)

4. ???

14mm x1.25, 1.25 is the pitch I am sure, but is 14mm the diameter? I am new to the mathematics portion This would answer #2 as well.

4. Nope, some new cars run a DIS (distributorless ignition system) where the coilpack sits directly on top of the sparkplug. Not cheap to replace but the idea being you no longer have sparkplug wires. Any interference into the cars electronics is handled with resistor plugs and carbon wires, the stock NGK plugs are a resistor plug.

FD's have the coils right on top of the motor, and they really are trouble free there.

Bump for some info. Went to Lowes, and they didn't have any 12x1.5 bolts. The lady said try Home Depot. Went there and they didn't have any either.

They have every other size BUT 12 x 1.5. the 10's go from .50 to 2.0, but the 12's start at 1.75 So if you need a bolt with that pattern, try a specialty store like ACE'S hardware.

Just some FYI to save someone some gas.
