Exclamation A few questions for you....please answer.

My oil needs changed in like, 300 miles. What is a good type of oil to use for the hot conditions here in Phoenix AZ?

Also, My car idles kind of weird... like it has a miss in the engine. Do I have a miss, or do rotaries just sound like that?

And, does anyone here live in Phoenix so they can help me do that thing with my ignition? Can't remember what it is called.

Thanks!

Is the ignition thing you are refering to the DLIDFIS?

I'd just stick with GTX 20w50 year round. Maybe a shot of MMO once in a while.

Make sure your car is tuned well. New plugs, plug wires, fuel filter, air filter, distributor cap, rotor etc.

Rotaries properly tuned will idle like silk.

If you are referring to the DLIDFIS. Don't bother. It hasn't been proven to help much. I would just get the engine tuned up well.
just my opinion.

Maybe, maybe not, but it is necessary preventive maintenance.

Get the fuel filter. It WILL prevent **** from your fuel tank entering your chambers. I change mine every 3rd oil change. It's cheap and it's easy to change.

If you want to know more about the DLIDFIS, pm Jeff20B and he'll tell you all about it .... there have been many discussions on this set-up.

I did a search for you...

Actually, I've already printed out his description. It's sitting at home stuffed in my repair manual. The thing is, a 16 year old like me has no idea how to do something like that.:p

If ya lived closer, I could help ya personally. But if you have any questions about the electrical aspect of it, I can clarify and describe...

One hint, the diagrams are VERY helpful in any electrical project.
