fender flares

who besides CP racing sells fender flares that can either be easily modded to fit our cars or are made specifically for our cars?

I am also looking for a way to punch louver vents into my hood.
Something similar to the vents on a gym/work locker door.
I dont even know where to begin looking.

dunno about the flares. Maybe 13Beef will start making GF ones.

As to louvers, if you want that locker style you can get a louver die at any hot rod shop and go nuts.

I'm working on fiberglass fender flares, they will be available to purchase, just give me a little time.

I'd be interested in subtle, 'character' fender flares, extending the fender arch about an inch out at the top. I'm building a car that may or may not be shown in the SEMA booth I'll be staffing this year.

Yes similar to SlammedGSL's rear flares. They will be able to be trimmed to be more slender if you need.

Check with a shop that works on semi tractor trucks. They should know some one who does the louvers for the big rigs.

I've got awesome flares lined up. Just haven't had a chance to modify them yet. Early Rabbit/Jetta/Cabrio flares.

Of course, I'm considering making my own widebody kit, so they might fall by the wayside.

Well, honestly, I like the idea of a widebody, but the fenders look so droopy to me... So, I figured I have to yank the fender off my car anyway to replace, I'm redoing the bumper, why not go all out?

Thanks! I checked your cardomain and I have those same flares you have on your car sitting in my shop. I got them from a guy in Australia that got them from Japan. I'm gonna sell them and the extra side skirts I have. Gotta get money for my FI conversion.
Here's the threads on the process, hopefully one of the shots might help you.

dont remember the year but its the last edition. I test fitted it in a FB while at the junkyard and it should work with minor trimmings. My body shop guy agreed with me and he will be installing the VW fender flares in the RX-3. The aftermarket fiberglass flares I bought from local shop is too wide.

Talking

Lloyd,
Why dont you just put a picture of the updated car with fender flares as your avatar or Sig. Then you wouldnt have to attach a picture of it everytime Next you need to take out those faces and powdercoat them black, and put new chrome or SS bolts in

Flares were next on my list, But I just can't seem to drill and cut my fenders yet. Plus any other wheels that would not fill out the fenders would look just plain goofy. So your kinda stuck running wide wheels.

Not if you have 1.75in spacers like I do, then you can run all your 15" wheels on your flares.....YeeeHaaa!!
I was scared out of my mind, having a parts car to cut on first helps alot. The first side took about 3 hrs, the second side took about 25 minutes.
Did you check out my post on the process of cutting my flares? I took lots of pics.

ive never seened slamed gls's rear flares till today
they look exactly like what i want.

if someone can make\sell\steal a front and rear set for me ill pay.
i need them!!

i got my wheels and spacers and rubber all setup finally.

225/50/15 front
235/50/15 rear

the rear fits fine, the front reqired me to get spacers to clear the suspension and the wheel isnt likely to fit nicely under the car anymore.

I doubt any of you guys are familiar with my car, i frequent mazspeed more often
its basically slammed gsl's car painted Orange and stripped to below 2000lbs
powered by s5 turbo 13b.
i had a robert shack carby turbo and ran a 12 1/4 mile with 250whp a few years back on 205/60/13 victoracers

Ill post pictures someday, like when the cars driving again.
