Testing some Z flares for fitment. If anything has to be altered, I'll take photos.

awesome, thanks manntis, if anything, even if they do seem to fit well can you take some mock up shots? Would work perfect if some Z or 240 fenders would work as thats obviously down my alley.

when are you going to be able to test fit these?

Mid 80's VW Cabrio flares work with very little trimming.

As soon as UPS pulls its collective head out of its *** and delivers them.

I discovered that Z cars take the same wheels as GSL-SE rims (when a Z car owner begged me to sell him my stock rims) so the diameters of openings should be similar. It's just a question of contour now, really.

yeah, I like the exposed-bolt flares better myself, so I thought it worth exploring. If they fit I might see about making 'em in TPO instead of fibreglass.

Any year in particular, or just mid 80's.

I just don't want to get something different that won't work by accident.

OMG, maybe an MK1 Rabbit and an MK1 Cabrio and an MK1 Caddy and an MK1 Jetta share the same fender flares. I have the same ones on my Gti. Hell, you could probably get the same ones off of a Scirocco.

Was it the type with the full bumpers? Or the metal ones?

yea unfortuantly i knew about your thread but i was trying to beat the clock to work. so i asked the lazy way.

And Slammed_GSL you good sir have my FB dream body if you had flares on the front. Your car was the reason i originally tried to get the CP racing fender flares. Unfortunately for me they dicked me and stole my money. But your car is the same color im painting my rx7 and the similar flares (if all pans out).

A star wars fan I see!

"The Aurek-Besh alphabet appears in the film Return of the Jedi and in a number of Star Wars related publications. It is used in the film to write the language of the Galatic Empire. A version of the alphabet known as Aurebesh appears in The Star Wars Roleplaying Game by West End Games and was created by graphic artist Stephen Crane."
