FD Body, FB internals...

Is this at all possible? Wouldn't it be neat to have a FD body with a 12a(t) or something like that... screw all the "hi tech ****" and just use the frame, suspension, etc. You can find FD's with bad engines for $6000 and you get a killer setup for a 12a fan... dunno....

Personally I'd rather have the other way around.

There's a white fb running at the tracks with an fd powertrain. That seems to make more sense.

I know that makes more sense... but wouldn't it be neat to have an NA Carbed 13B Peripheral Ported. Maybe a power glide tranny.

At my dealership. We had a fiberglass FD with bridgeported 13b with a weber 52 ida carb.

It was supposidly capible of 200mph and had 280 hp at 9000rpm nobody got to drive it because it was too loud and was too hard to keep running.

The guy who traded it in bought a solo II spec GLS SE.
we were selling the SE for $12000, it only had like 25000 miles and had a built ported 13b.

Personally I'd rather have a FD with a FD engine with a large turbo and other mods then a slow stock 12a in it. It would perform worse then a stock 1st car. Now if i were someone with money, I'd yank the 13b-rew and replace with a 20b Turbo halteched.
