FC ignition coils, FD spark plug wires, design and installation

engine managment will be LT8 microtech. mounting the coils up close to be able to use FD spark plug wires. here are some pics

Looks nice man! So is the FC coil being triggered by an FC ignitor? Not a bad setup if that's the case, and you didn't even need the Transistor Trick unit to get it done (just a complete engine swap, lol )....

yep the coils have the igniter built into them, the microtech will be hooked up to the igniter. what is a transistor trick?

It is a circuit that allows 1st gens to fire a 2nd gen leading coil/ignitor without a stand alone or other ECU. It just coneverts the signal normally used to fire the 1st gen coils to something the 2nd gen ignitor can use.

thanx for the explanation addict, i had a feeling it was somethign to do with the DFIS. but yea i am not going to be usign any of the first gen ignition stuff...
