I just bought this car like two days ago, ran fine all the way home, took it out for a cruise no probs yesterday, and today i went to go start it to warm it up for work and it wont start.............Turns over fine but wont start up, i put gas in the carb and it turns over for like a sec. then dies again. what could this be? thanks in advance

is it carb or injected....if carbed, did u happen to remove the air cleaner and maybe knock off a hose....has it been sitting up,,,may be bad gas, clogged fuel filter...let us know...

 

Welcome to the board. SO itll run if you put gas into the carb? Can you see any gas in the carb? Theres 2 small windows, one in front, one in back for each float bowl. ALso can you tell us what year and model you have. Itll help.

 

Have you checked to see if you are getting fire to the plugs,,,and welcome to forum....

 

Yea sorry guys, I shouldnt panic right away, I wasnt getting any spark to one of the prong things on the distributor cap.....................and thanks for the welcome but i have been reading up for a long while now and this is my 3rd 1st gen, im selling my other one in the for sale forum if anybody is intrested. I am also selling my 260z.
