I own 1 for the RX and 1 for the Durango.
Fits real nice and twice as thick as the Cheapo's out there!

As long as you keep a good coat of Wax on the Paint you won't get any Scratches or Fading.

Why do you need one? They trap dirt behind them that grinds into your paint. They have a new product out thats kinda like a film to go over the front part of the car. It prevents chips and all. They useit on high end cars.

Just mask of the bra line and spray a permanent bra of rhino liner. I have seen it done (but not on an RX-7 ). It looks just like a bra, but no flapping and removal to wash, etc.

Hmmm... I wonder what a whole car would look like done in Rhino liner ? Talk about adding some weight !!!

Yeah, it's a thick plastic clear film made by 3M. I'm getting it insalled when I get my new paint job next year...

Heh, it's too cover up (until I get time to swap fenders and repaint) the lovely spot where my car and a guard rail somehow managed to come into contact : ). So a few scratches are really not that big of concerne to me.

@David: I may give that a try, thanks.
