OR FB alternator on SA?

Will it work? I hope so because my Alt. Just went out and I need a new one. Getting one from an fb for next to anything. Unless one of you guys want to sell me a proper SA Alt for next to nothing. .

Depends on the SA.

1979 is different from early 1980 is different from late 1980.

My late '80 used the same style alt as FB except it was 45a instead of 65a, or whatever the current different was.

'79 is way different, but requires wiring.

79 had an external voltage regulator; 80 on has V. reg. internal to the alt, just like later years. There are connector differences along the way, though.
