Question Fb???

I believe that perhaps this question just may get the "dumbest question" award:

What does the acronym "FB" stand for?

Well, seven views, but no replies.

Could it be, that no one really knows what they're saying when they refer to "FB's"?

FB is part of the VIN number. There was an SA in part of the 79-80 vin numbers, fb in 81-85, fc in 86-91, and fd in 91-95 (us) and '01 (japan)

I posted a thread a while back called "FB, FC, F-Me I'm Confused!" Where I asked the same question.

http://www.rotorhead.ca/ref_VIN.php
This (above) is Manntis' site, where he shows a breakdown of an Rx7 VIN. JM1FB... the FB is the designator of what generation/model of car we have.

In 1979-80 models, the letters "SA" appeared
In 81-85 models (after some major changes in 80-81) the letters changed to "FB"

These two denote first generation Rx7s "SA" and "FB"

The second generation all fell under the "FC" category

and the third generation all fell under the "FD" category

its kinda hard to understand.... Each arrow (^) refers to each section of dotted line (-----), not what they are pointing to.
