Well i have 2 7's, I guess you could call them jekl & hyde. I like one as much as the other. One is a 85 SE, camden blown, streetported, 850 double pumper and a magnaflow exhaust, rb springs and street/strip clutch. This is a fun and aggressive car to drive, very fast for what it is. The other is a strip model (no sunroof or even hatch release and has roll up windows) 85 gs with a stock 12a right down to the functioning air pump and rats nest (lady owned last 7 years). Nice pleasant cloth interior, nice stereo, extremely quiet muffler and presilencer with no cats, just a nice smooth pleasure to drive. I have a T3 turbo in the garage waiting for the base 7 in the spring, it's be one of the cheapest blow throughs done using a carb and modified stock intake to accept an Edelbrock.

Mperformance- I'm 18 right now but have been around these cars since i was about four. The reason i even started liking cars was when i first saw a this car that my dad had just finished; a tube-chassis GT-2 bridge ported 12a second gen road race car come to life and pull out of the shop and leave 2 10 inch wide patches of rubber through three gears of a sequential tranny down this small access road. Before that i thought tube chassis' were just really neat jungle gyms. believe me, the turbo route would be awsome, espesially if you add a 13b or 20b to the mix! and a PP on the street is too obnoxious even for me on the street (although i do have 3 motors worth of PP aluminum housings in my garage that my dad taught me how to make). But i was just curious as to times, im not going for a record at the strip or anything, im a roadracer and always will be, i just wanted a point of reference.

P.S. sorry for the long post, i was bored

you guys are lucky i am only seeing about 16 mpg and thats a mix of highway and city everyday. I have 12a with a dellorto that needs a rebuild and the front rotor in my car has compression on only two apex seals, the only reason i am still driving it is because its my daily driver and i dont have the money just yet to have it rebuild
P.S. a little more info my car definately sees over 7000 probably at least 50% of the time i drive it.

I had a stock port 12a with a Holley 600 run in an 1/8th mile 9.5 secs. I now am breaking in my 12a street port, with a Holley 450.
