Fast N/A FB's

Are there any fast street legal N/A FB's? Do any of you guys own one and if so how quick is like quarter time, I know these cars aren't made to be quarter cars they're handling cars but I'm just curious if there are any quick FB's out there?

Mine supposed to be a pretty fast NA, but its not. (See mods in Sig)

Maybe after I get this megasquirt installed and tuned. If that doesnt help it wont be an NA anymore.

uh yeah, there's lots of fast na ROTARY 1st gens

You can put a V-8 in anything. there's nothing special about that, it's just another small car/ truck/ whatever with a V-8. A fast rotary is something unique and special. i'm not saying that a stock rotary is slow, it's just good to see people getting good power from a N/A 1.1 liter engine.

I'm sure any bridgeported 12A with a holley or webber is VERY fast- hell, a streetport with exhaust, ignition, carb is fast. My stock 79 with a racing beat exhaust is plenty fast enough! (put still, who wants to stop there?)

I was playing, I'd be lucky if I make a low 15. The Geo wouldn't be too hard to get into the 10s....considering it weighed 1900 lbs from the factory, and its a pile of rust (REALLY BAD)...Someday I will have a rotary powered tracker.

K, done hijacking

LOL! I just pmed you, asking how you got into the 10s. Ya got me there .

My car is pretty quick, with the 1/2 bridge port and all. I wanna run low 14s, which I think is very attainable once I get a good ignition system (still on stock).

Honestly with a stock port and all bolt ons including a bolt on nitrous kit one can easily get into the 13s with our little first gens.

Do the math and make yourself a shopping list if you want to be a drag racer. Our cars can pretty much do ANYTHING they want. If you don't want to be a drag racer take the nitrous off of the list you made before and you'll be able to do pretty much anything competatively.

Hopefully, next Wednesday I can take the widebody to the 1/8 th mile track for test and tune night. Don't have enough jets for the Mikuni to do any real tuning, but I will have the wideband with me.

Last year I was in the low 11's with headers and the Mikuni on the stock motor. My 2nd gen's best was 10.01 with headers. I would hope a 1/2 bp would break into the 13's, I'll see what mine can do, and post the results.

I'm supposed to have a fairly quick FB, but I won't have a clue until I can get a decent tune on it.
