farqin'freezing rain
after leaving mellow yellow parked for a few days i am forced to drive it back to work, its 20 deg out and my drivers door is froze locked and i broke both door handles on pass door trying to get it open . crawled throu hatch to get in it , its been running for .5 hr now , hopefully itll open when its warmed up, how do you open pass door if the latch frags? ive had tto do rude **** to a ford before. any ideas?

well the drivers side is ok. but the pass side wont open the latch is fragged, and the outside handle is mulched. thankfully i didnt fuber the sheet metal around the outside handle

If you take the door panel off inside, you can get to the actual latching mechanism that holds the door closed and just monkey with the couple of connecting rods that go to it and it will open.
Just to think I went to the junkyard Saturday while the weather was a balmy 40F and finally got a replacement bumper skin for my bumper. Can't even install it right now because of ice and temps in the teens.

You should be able to take the inner door handle off and grab the latch Rod with a pair of pliers and pull once the ice has thawed out.
Throw some hot coco on the ice or pee on it. That'll melt that ice.
