Angry Farging sh#Tbag curbchecked my car

after a mutual admiration session with an aqaintence he offered to let me drive his car it was a supra, but it had a 383 strocker s/b in it with tfs alum heads roller cam and all the other mumbo jumbo, i have to admit the ***** would fly . i was respect ful and returned it unharmed and unmolested, Feeling magnimominous i offerd up the keys to the mellow yellow and he took off , came back about 10 min later seemingly impressed, it was dark out and we split out of there. next day i noticed rite front was bare of paint from inder the front bubmer to th lip including the fender and the air dam thingy , also noticed the wheel was curb checked , powder coat was gouged off lip its terrible, needless to say im jacked i think it was chicken shitty

man thats fucked..

tell him look man.. u fucked up my car.. seriously..

could u help me at least pay off the damages..

unless your scared to comfront him because he done u a big favour.. i dunno.. thats wat it seems like.. or yur afraid because yur friendship may deteriorate..

its better u do it now.. or if u leave it.. when u are spending time with him.. u will not forget wat he did to yur car..and it might end up worse..

do you owe him anyhting? if not.. tell him to help u pay... but in a polite manner.. u offered because u thought he will treat yur car with the same respect as u did his..

Yeah i agree with Gavin. When i first got my car in its non-beauty days, i let all my friends drive it so they could get it out of their system. Since then no one has gotten in the drivers seat, let alone driven it but me.
It doesn't drive right now, but if it did no one would drive it anyways but me.

that sux...i'd definately say something...if he denies then ask him for his keys to take his car for a spin...if he didn't do it, he shouldn't worry that anything would happen to his car

Not to stir things up here, but you kind of opened the door to this when you let him drive your car. On top of that, you weren't even IN IT when he was driving it.

My thinking is that you should accept some of the problem that has arisen and ask him to help pay for it, but if he doesn't, chalk it up to a lost 'friendship' (my word, not yours, you call him an acquaintance), and use it as a learning experience.

If you were that anxious to drive his Supra, and you realized that any damage that you did to his car would be paid out of your pocket, then he should understand the same and help you out.

Could you have afforded to fix his Supra if you did the same thing? If not, maybe you shouldn't be driving someone else's cars, and vice versa. Nobody drives my car but my wife - it's because we're both insured on both of our cars, and because I know that if she damaged it, I could fix it. Strangers don't get anywhere near anything that I own. HTH,

i dont know man , as a technician i drive a wide variety of cars on a regular basis , and im always responsible and culpable if anything happens. i just assumed that concept was ingrained in this gentleman also due to the excellent job he did on his own car, and i also know my car is not as much fun to drive with 2 people in it as apposed to 1, i notice the diffrence between a full tank and almost empty. i tell the select few who have driven with me with them that after first shift it when u here the buzzer. i guess it was a failure of my character judgement skills

Confront him man to man, ask him if he did it. If he ownes up to it he can remain an a acquaintance or maybe turn out to be a friend, if he doesnt then its an expensive shitty lesson learned. Either way it sucks ***, the damage is done and you cant chang that.

well good lesson leared i guess. dont let people touch your ****. be glad it was just that damage.. think if he miss shifted and blew the motor or trans...

i personaly will not let any one drive my car.

just go talk to him... or atleast make him feel guilty about it.

pull up when he is out side walk over to start talking to him. look back and be like wtf... run over and look at it. and start getting all angry, yelling stiff like... wtf... son of a bitch.. mother... well you get the idea. then ask him... can you believe that.. how did do that? just to see the look on his face.
