F*cking savages

So I go to the pictures to relax. Movie is only about 2 hours including the time in line, getting seats, etc but when I come out I discover a new dent in my door. Some f*cking a$$wipe in a pickup (I'm guessing, from the height of it) just yarded his door open without a single f*cking thought about the car next to him and bashed a 1/2" deep, 6" wide new dent just below the passenger keyhole.

Goddamned farmers kids.

That right there is why I always park way out at the end of the lot, away from other cars and walk the extra distance. Not always enough room to do that though. Last time it happened to me, the car was still there, I swung my door open to leave a mark on his car, damned thing had plastic doors. That made me even madder so I left a nice big footprint that a blind person couldn't miss.

Sorry to hear about your door, those careless people make me angrier than most idiot drivers.

Murphy's law. Every time you park way the hell on the other end of the lot, someone will park right next to you because "he's got such a cool car." And they will bash the hell out of your brand new paintjob.

People should be hit by a brick....
I actually saw someone bash their mini van door on a brand new lotus at the mall. I was watching them from a bit of a distance when in my car. I guess people think it doesn't matter what they do to your car as long as they do it without you seeing it and leave before you can catch them.

DAMN DOUCHE BAGS!!!

along time ago my dad was at the movie theater and the drivers side door was hit very badly. the guy got away and the dealer that put the new door skin on did match up the paint right and did put the black gard thing back on. now many years later the door is rusting off

Did it look like they did it purposely? If I ever saw something like that I'd get their plate #s and call the cops.
I've had my cars vandalized/broke into back in Duluth, and when ever I see something like this going on, it lights a fire up under my ***.

This is why I love my jeep... I have rock rails made from 1/2" plate steel with a tube step welded to it, mounted under the doors.....

I was coming out of a store about a month ago... I was still about 30 feet away, when a lady in an expedition pulled in next to the jeep, and she opened the door with her FOOT(pull latch, let foot push door open)... There was a loud BANG as the door hit the rock rail... She was still inspecting her door, cursing when I walked up... The rock rail had put a semi-circular dent about a 1/4" dep in the edge of her door, and now it wouldn't close!!! Me, not having doors on my jeep, hopped in and said:"Wow, that looks like it really sucks...". Started the Jeep, and drove off.... LOL.....

That sucks really bad. I have recently decided to become very **** about where I park. I have a few small dings, and they drive me nuts. In the parking garage where I keep my car, I always park in the corner spot, which has big triangles of space on either side. I'll go all the way to the top level if I have to just to get a corner spot. When I park at stores and stufff, I'll always park next to a median and get as close to it as I can, so even if some 6 year old jumps out of their mom's Excursion, its almost impossible for them to hit my car.

AMEN!!!

it seldom fails. i guess i've gone a little numb now though. i've adopt the daily beater solution for movies and restaurants and such. after the paint gets done, i will only drive the Rx-7 when i will be in it for most of the time that it's away from the house.

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn the bad luck
so have you considered saying your prayers and refraining from blasphemy?.......NEVERE MIND, that trick never works for me. <-------LEVITY

if that dent is just a dent not a scratch it can be fixed cost effectively. if the clear coat is compromised its a little more involved and of couse if metal is exposed your looking at a min. of $200 and thats not blended or replacing or removing any thing.

shucks ya damn near pay that for a tub of popcorn at the movie theater(more levity)

and think of it this way, thats almost half your deductible right there so one more you can turnit in to you insurance. (ya like that dont ya)

no really im betting it was some canooker down here taking advantage of our exchange rate probly sellin weed to pay for his gambling habit......oh sorry ...uh ..i just noticed your a canadian.

im just clownin around sorry but i have to stick up for the farmers kids and people who drive pick ups ....im about as red neck-ed as they come and with it i get a little right wing-ed.

no my friend ,i dont believe that your culprit is of good, hard working, or honest persuasion. definately a kid or a people who dont give a sh$# about anyone but themself and thier own adgenda. maybe it was some one famous....maybe it was Mel Gibson....ill quit now.....

just havin fun hope i didnt offend any one.

I was massively paranoid about having dents and stuff in my car when I was driving my '83 around considering how good the body was in on that one. My '84 that I drive daily now, though, has rust on it and already has a smashed front fender. I'm not so much worried about this one getting hit. Once my '83 is back up and running again though.. it will be a different story.

And the way things are panning out, my "daily beater" may end up being a mid 90's 5-series BMW. lol I don't know how much more acceptable it will be if that car gets hit....

Poster AND Moderator are Canadian you ignorant redneck American ****.

Consider this your first warning. Say anything like that again (about any country's people) and you just might have to take a little vacation from the forum for a while.

And it's "Canuck" not "canooker"

I would hate to see how angry he got over someone hitting his car as well... but then again I would make a drive up there to beat some *** for him as well.

Sorry guys, random acts of extreme prejudice make me want to smack people.

Manntis, sorry to hear about the dent. After everything to get Carmen on the road and whatnot, that sucks the big one.

Yes, yes, yes. I have the TJ brochure on my desk right now and when the Ram goes back, it looks like a jeep for me for sure.

Heck I would of stayed and enjoyed the moment with that lady. I would have talked about how much it would have cost to repair the damage if you would have had a normal car. And mention how she probably wouldn't even leave a note, and take off. Then I would mentioned karma and how things that go around, come around. I would then mention going to the police since she has so much damage to the car and that with the door not closing her car is not driveable. Maybe even ask for her insurance to make sure that she doesn't try to pull an insurance job.

thats a sickening feeling isnt it? coming out to your pride and joy to see a huge dent and peraps some scrapes. your first though: "oh thats nice". then you start to get mad. i know all too well. i drive my 92 camry to work every day, especially now that its getting cold and the other day i was looking at my car and i noticed some new scratches and some small dents. i wasnt pleased to say the least. every bump, nick, dent, and scrape on my 95 ranger is from other inattentive people. if people would slow down and think before they do ****.... sometimes people just have no respect for another's property.

My car's been on the road for 23 years now. . . and there's not a SINGLE door ding. Where do I park it? Wherever there's a spot. I just have the devil's luck.

One thing my parents always say, park next to a nice car (BMW or Mercedes) if at all possible. Its not as likely they will smack their door into your car. Completely NOT TRUE!! People seem to have no respect for the car parked beside them. A perfect example happened to me the first day I drove my Olds Alero after getting it. There were virtually no dents or scrapes on the car. I park outside my school, come back out after class and find that the brand new Cadillac beside me smacked their door into my car. It pissed me off soo bad that I now just park as far away from anyone else as possible and walk.
