Experiences with Fuel Injected vs Carb
In my first post I let everyone know that I was the proud owner of a brand new 1983 RX-7 GS in my younger days. As I am entering that middle age crazy phase of my life I have been toying with the idea of picking up a first gen as a project/toy kind of thing.
The question is, based on the experience of the members, which is easier to maintain/troubleshoot...the first gens with a carb or the fuel injected models?
I have been checking the theads as these little buggies come up for sale. I have been in the local classified, ebay and craigslist. It would appear that there is one out there for me...somewhere. Just waiting for the right one to come along.
One more thing. I have read hundreds of pages here about problems you guys have. There is an abundance of experience in helping each other with problems. However, a lot of times, when someone posts a problem and everyone tries to help out, the solution to the problem isn't posted. Just curious why that happens.

For most people carbureted models have always been easier to diagnose. However a lot of running problems have always been blamed on the carburetor when in reality if was something else.
The Se injection system can be very finicky at times but once you have gone through the system and had experience it is not a big thing.
The main thing here is experience and reading when it comes to any maintenance or diagnosis.. :-)
As far as members posting back up when they have solved their issue(s).
No answer for that except they may forget or just are too lazy. :-)
