exhaust question

ok I have a pretty much stock 7 for now I plan on doing a new carb and intake mani but dont know what setup yet. I want to run the road race RB setup. is this gonna hurt my performance more then help it. I know I need some backpressure but will this dual pipe setup offer enough. the only real mods I have done are removing the rats nest and the MSD direct fire

It you alter the intake and card you will be greatly disapointed if you don't install the RB exhaust.

Back pressuer is the Enemy in a rotory engin.

the only way you will hurt your perfomance is to have a restrictive exhaust that generates back pressure

Oh man. I wonder who started this backpressure myth. It keeps popping up every other week it seems.

sure if you want all your power in the high end. The bigger exhaust you run, the higher it moves your useable power.

OKay guys, I'm shooting in the dark, but desperate for answers. Just bought a slightly used rebuild off ebay. Yeah, I know. But it was rebuilt by Kearney racing for SCCA IT racing. Living in small town USA and not mechanically inclined, I had a trusted mechanic install the motor which came with an IT carb, hot distributor, and high output alternator. My mechanic wasn't able to use these as they wouldn'y conect to the factory hoses, ac, and computer. Okay, now to the point. After installing it with my stock components, he told me that it starts and runs, but soon begins to exhaust through the carb (intake). ANY IDEAS??
