Exhaust leak

HELP!, my 85 GS exhaust has sprung a leak in the curve over the rear axle. Due to the temperature of the exhaust, can a simple (cheap and easy) exhaust repair wrap hold up to the temp or should I replace the pipe? Seems like a good time to buy a RB muffler but not sure if I'll be keeping the car very much longer. Any advice is appreciated.

that sounds like a personal choice to me. If I were getting rid of the car I would just have some muffler shop weld up a new cheap cat back for me. If I were keeping the car, I would get a nice set up, like RB.

I've got the same problem, only mine leaks all over. The car gets pretty hot because of it too. If you only have one leak and the exhaust is in pretty good shape, then just wrap it, otherwise, replace it.
