I just removed the heat shield thing that runs around the exhaust manifold because it was rattling. Turns out it was rusted through at the bottom and teh tab that bolts onto the intake manifold at the rear was broken off. Do I need to keep this somehow? I know I may have some warmup problems without the snorkel, but I can live with them. I let the car warmup fully before I drive it.
