Exhaust

Does anyone have any experience with the Monza exhaust from black dragon auto? They say its good, however they are trying to sell a product. Im looking for a new exhaust and would just like to weigh my options. I know racing beat makes a killer exhaust system, but does anybody else?

the car is an 85 gsl-se with 12a /w MT

thanks
chris

crap....dont waste your money or time. Go with RacingBeat, Magnaflow, or Borla. Anything else wont hold up to the heat or will sound like crap.

I have a 12A with just a Magnaflow and it sounds great. Its about the same price as the Monza but is stainless and sounds deep and will hold up over time. Im getting headers and going catless soon so I will have some audio coming soon so you can get an idea

If you are looking for easy just bolt on pieces go with RB or Monza from Pacesetter. I have yet to find another bolt on system for the FBs other than those two. Some nay-sayers might not have direct experience with the products that they say are crap or not crap so please research and take in actually usage comments.

For just mufflers, the flowmaster hushpower II will hold up to the heat. Don't let the nah-sayers sway you away from that brand.

You got to also consider if you still have emissions to tend with. Are you looking for a complete replacement system or just a muffler with the leading pipe to hook to stock cat pipe?
Are you experiencing problems with the existing system that might lead you to a clogged cat?

The only experience I have with RB is their cat-delete pipe. It's a very nice quality made product. For Monza, I had their muffler on another car and it held up and flowed just fine, but it wasn't exposed to the kind of heat that the 13B produces which is why I stayed away from it based on feedback on this forum and others.

Well...eventually i wanted a full exhaust, no cat. my plan was to see what is the cheapest, yet at the same time best quality, and go from there. Right now im looking at a racing beat cat delete pipe and a muffler. Eventually ill go with a header to a pre-silencer.

I appreciate everyones feedback, but if anyone has more to add, feel free.
thanks
