Look real nice Mike... how do they feel? I've always had problems with bolstered seats because I'm a bit wide... just not comfortable. Hope you enjoy them... they don't look cheap!

They are good seats, supportive and comfortable. Still, far from a race bucket.

The car is going to be a daily driver and I wanted a seat that would offer support for autocross and occasional track day. But be comfortable for the daily commute.

I have a set of Bride Zetta III's in my STi and I would not want to be driving with those seats daily.

I realized after spending some time driving an '05 Evo MR, that the Recaro's were a great compromise for all types of driving.

Since my '85's seats were thrashed and they needed replaced. I started poking around the 'wanted' section of the Evo site. I found a guy selling his seats in my area and purchased them for $500. Which is not too cheap, but far cheaper than spending $900 per seat for the same seats through Recaro.

The seats came with the factory rails. We had to remove those rails and weld the factory rails/sliders to the bottom seat frames.

I am completely re-doing the interior. It was originally brown, but when I purchased the car it was extremely faded brown. The carpet had the smell of sweet coolant and the rest of the interior was a sun baked disaster.

I am replacing some interior parts (the ones I can find) and then dying/painting the rest black. I still need to remove the dash and replace the heater core/valve. After that is done the car will be sent to a shop for the carpet, door panels and headliner.

Beautiful seats. Have you sat in them? They look tall.

I personally think they are too modern for an Old Skool ride, but at least they're pretty.

Thanks, Yes they have been sat in. They are tall, but they do clear the headliner by a couple inches. The passenger seat sits 1/2 inch taller than the right because of the goofy factory slider that is at an angle.

They are slightly out of place. I think when the interior is finished they will look right at home.
