Everyone Wish Me Luck!
Ok, well as some of you may know, I have come so very close to finishing my car, but I ran into some legal problems with my title (like my Dad didnt ever transfer it and I couldnt get a hold of the guy that has it). Anyway, in Washington, when worse comes to worse and you cant get the title, you can send a certified letter to the registered owner of the car, and if they dont sign for and accept the letter or otherwise collect it, you can take the un-opened letter to the DOL, and they will take it as proof that you tried to contact this person to the best of your ability. I sent off my letter last week, and as of 4:54 PM on Saturday night, the letter was unclaimed. Which means, that since the post office is closed Sunday, Im going down Monday and getting my letter to take to the DOL to get the title for my car, which then means that I can put her on the road for the first time!!! Ive been waiting sooooo long for this...I just hope this joker doesnt claim the letter between 4:54 and 5 PM (unlikely, I know) Saturday, or before I can get there Monday morning. Everyone wish me luck!!

Ok guys, nice try, but it wasnt enough .
The Woodinville post office (where I live) sent the letter to Monroe. The Monroe post office tried to deliver it, they didnt, and they left a notice. Well, I went down to Monroe today (Monday) to get it because no one claimed it, and they dont have it . They said that it might have been returned to Woodinville because maybe the guy rejected it. So I drive to Woodinville. They dont have it either . They use my tracking number, and they say that Monroe sent it to TEXAS!! Monroe has no record of sending it there, so they dont know where it is. The guy that works at the Monroe post office doesnt seem to think it ever went to Texas. He thinks that the computer said it went there, but it never did. This is odd because Woodinville says that the mail carrier in Texas tried to deliver it and left a notice in texas. This tells me that someone has it in Texas if someone attempted to deliver it. Anyway, Monroe says its in Woodinville, Woodinville says its in Texas, and the internets tracking number says its in Monroe. I dont know what the hell to do now.
This makes me wonder...If they cant keep track of a CERTIFIED FIRST CLASS LETTER, what happens to the regular ones!?!?!?
Also, before anyone asks, there is no forwarding address filed for the address in Monroe, which is why no one knows why its in Texas...

I had the same problem with certified letters.
My wife and daughters passports (+birth certificates and marriage license) were sent to be renewed and the post office lost them! They had no record of them being delivered.
Fortunately, without them knowing, it had been delivered. They arrived in our mail box one day, but the P.O. still had no idea where they were!
they are such a bunch of losers.
My advice:
sit back relax, and it will arrive.

I had worse. A key was being sent next day air through the Post Office. Paid $18 for the service. It never came. This is supposed to be there highest level of service. Now I pay everything online. Screw the PO.

PS - On a side note, I finally got my DSL up and going at my new appartment...We used to have cable before we moved, then I had to use dial up for like 2 weeks again (oh the horror), but now I have DSL, yay .

No, not yet. I just got the Thursday night, and its 5 AM Friday morning right now (couldnt sleep ). My dialy activitied for today will consist of contacting the State Patrol to set up and inspection appointment. Then, if it passes, I can get the title, plates and tabs, and be on the road for the first time in the year Ive had it!! Its weird for me to think about that too. I mean, I got it from a junk yard, and I remember making lists pages long of what needs to be done, and I just made a new list that consisted of: 1. Get inspected 2. Get title, plates, and tabs 3. Get tires. Im so happy, lol

PS - It will also get its first FULL tank of fresh gas too . I flushed the fuel system and everything, but only put 5 gallons in it, and most of that is gone now (I like to sit in it and let it run just to hear the exhaust ), so Im gonna treat her to a full tank .

Haha, yeah. Im rather upset though, cause all Ive wanted to so since I got this ***** running was get it out on the street and see how it drives. Well for the past 3 days or so its done nothing but rain...Im scared I wont get another dry day for months the way our weather is...So Ill be stuck driving it in the rain...Oh well. On the bright side, at least Im driving it...

Yeah, Ive been doing a fair share of drifting practice in the 85 GSL I've been driving . I just wanted to see acceleration differences with full RB exhaust and no AC, air pump, clutch fan, a new clutch, etc, vs the stock 215K mile clogged cat setup, lol.
