more fiber in my diet please

[
I will offer a suggestion for a couple other parts you may wish to reproduce, those would be the door handle pull cups and the armrest pull cups. There are a few of door handle cups availible, but not in all colors and I have not seen any armrest cups for sale.

I'd be in for some carbon fiber door handle pull cups. Or steering column surround or sun visors...

Sunvisors, now that is an odd one I hadn't thought of. They would need a matching air foil that flips ups when the sunroof is removed to compliment them.

Beef, I should have a shipping price for you Wed/Thurs.

13 BEEF: (no answer)

mar3: I just noticed on my '83 today that the surround plate isn't really flat. The section where the HVAC controls are is actually a "sunken" area relative to the rest of the surround. Will an '83 CF plate replicate this or is the whole surround actually based on the '79/'80 flat surround feature and all flat like the pic above?

13 BEEF: I reckon you could just put a small sapcer between the Aircon slider control tabs, may need slightly longer bolts. Will take a pic when I get a chance.

mar3: yes

So what was the verdict on the above thoughts?

^^^Slpintering isn't really a problem if cut with dremel and fiberglass cutting wheel. Carbon actually turns to dust when you cut/sand it.

There is only two bolts that hold the entire aircon slider mechanism and control ****. If you put a spacer (approx 8-10mm's) behing these bolts all should work and you won't have to hack up your original console to use the top section. unfortunately i don't own an S2/3 Rx7 and my mate has recently crashed his so no chance for pics at the moment.

That is actually an awesome idea ... its so hard to find those cups in good condition and I think new is too expensive ... and i can't find all that stuff in brown.

if someone were to send you a dash cover (one of the plastic covers that you can adhere over your stock dash), could you make a S3 dash off of that? or do you need the whole dashboard? I'm looking for something to replace my cracked-to-hell black dash, and a CF dash with a satin clearcoat, i think, would look pretty good. not too shiney, not going to crack from heat, and light as hell.

oh, and could you make the whole center section that comes down around the shifter if you do make the dash (i know you'd need one), and how about a center console that goes between the seats?

I thought i posted earlier about my wants. Sorry to stray off topic but has anyone had any weird problems when their computer when posting. like it just exiting the whole system or when you are pming and you hit enter it backs out of the system?
Anyways 13 beef, mate. How about in the future thinking about making a one piece fiberglass frontend? The reason i'm stating fiberglass is because carbon fiber would not be cost effective for most of us. The styling i'm thinking about is similar to when the corvettes were done in 84. the headlights would stay where they are and the front end would just lift over them. The bumper would be incorporated into the front end. Something to think about.

Talk about weight reduction. By the way, monitoring your work, doing an excellent job.
And who stole my idea about a carbon fiber dash, i posted that awhile back, lol.

Because of my reoccuring insomnia lately i'm forced to stare at the screen all night and think of new things. So how about a carbon fiber taillight finisher for both the Sa and Fb's?
What do you guys think?
