Engine speed w/ choke

What RPM's should the engine be turning w/ the choke pulled all the way out? Mine is currently adjusted wrong and it revs to over 5K! I was wondering what I should adjust it to in order to be the "ideal" warm-up engine speed.

Mine, depending on outside temp, and humidty is anywhere from 1500 to 2000 rpm. Sometimes it's a bit higher but only when it's a warmer day.

Mine does the same, but after it starts I just push it(choke) in a ways to 2000rpm for a couple minutes or less than push it in further to around 1500rpm and let it warm up from there. Haynes manual says the hot idle adjustment has to be made with the carb off. As long as the choke closes fully and opens fully I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine goes up to about 3k, then after a few seconds, I push it in so it goes down to about 1700-1800 until it pulls back in.

A properly adjusted choke should rev to ~3000+ rpm when pulled out all the way.
