engine shaking/vibration 12A man

I was traveling down the freeway yesterday and a abnormal vibration developed that I could feel on the accelerator. When I came to a stop off the freeway to get fuel and I shut off the engine it shook. When I started the engine again it shook wierdly on start up. The engine has good power and runs fine but there is a little abnormal vibration at idle. I checked some previous posts and checked motor mounts, trans mount and exhaust mounts and thats all ok. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Check your ignition. Make sure you have spark on both leading and trailing, and check the condition of your plugs.

Also take a look at your cap and rotor, plug wires, etc.

Take off both coil wires, Pull the top plug on one rotor put your finger over the hole, have soneone spin it over. You should feel 3 strong puffs. do the same to the other rotor.

If idle is good and good power and the viberation increases when you rev the motor while sitting still, it is probably the tranny mount. Mine did the same thing, new tranny mount cured it. Todd
