Arrow Engine people i have a Q

Ok i have a factory manule i have alot of tools, i have a slight knowledge on how rotorys work, and i know not to tighten a bolt without knowing the tourque
and patern.
my question is; do you think i would be capable of being able to rebuild a rotory and port one with diagrams.

i have never rebuilt an engine but i know to fallow instructions

do u think i could do it?

since i have tranny out (half the battle)
i figured i could try it
but i want you guys to tell me all about it

porting question

does anybody want to give me some porting instructions for a street port
(if i end up doing this)

Sure, I bet that you could do it. I rebuilt mine myself, but I didn't port it. The main thing is following the instructions closely and don't try to rush it.

it's all a matter of following instructions indeed: it doesn't really matter what you're building
Mind you: engine (re)builing will mean very tight clearances, so working tidy and carefully is mandatory.
Try to get a rebuild video, it's very good info.
Porting is a bit tricky, but SP shouldn't be really hard: before you start, try to read and look for info. The internet is full of it.

make sure you take pictures of the break down so you know how it goes back together (how easy we all forget)

Piece of cake if
1= you have the time and patience
2= you have the tools (not many special just the flywheel nut and an impact gun, engine puller, engine stand, large vat to clean all the parts)
3= you have the space
4= and lastly the money

I did mine as well, enjoyed every minute.

Also look over on nopistons.com Judge Ito has a great set of porting threads with lotsa pics. But like Dan said, get a template, its not an eyeball kinda thing.

One thing not mentioned on rebuilding the engine. Do you have, and can you use precision measuring tools? That is critical to getting good results. IE- an engine that lasts more than 5k.
