Engine Hiccup

ok i was driving a bit to day and when i would try to accelerate quickly the car will hiccup a few times then get on up. If I hold the gas down till the hiccups pass
it it will return to normal idle and run fine till i would accelerate again. As long as i am at 1/2 throttle or less it runs fine. It has a older fuel filter i will be replacing it tomorrow i just wanted to see if that should fix the problem.

Thanks Zen

You need to give more details on your vehicle.

Ok I just replaced the fuel filter. The car ran ok till it heated up some then it got allot worse. The car is vibrating some I took the air cover off it is sucking in air I hear I whooshing sound. The fuel pump has .2 volts on the negative when the pump is on. The car sound like a go cart I watched the fuel at the carb jets it is constant but it now has the hiccup sound on idle as well. The engine has a little vibration to it much but not and it is even across the hole engine as it felt it has a taping noise in the exhaust (I think). It is louder under the car and behind the front wheel it is almost a metallic sound. It still starts right up the idle is about were it should be but I moves up and down about 250 each way the only time it sounds normal is when you let off the gas and it is dropping rpm. The tack dropped of all of a sudden a few times. It has a lot of white smoke now even after it has heated up. The engine casing is not heating up as fast as normal. The motor has random power it will still drive but with little power. I think it is miss firing how should i test for this or is it a blown apex seal or some thing.........
thanks
Zen

Lost an apex seal? Perform a ghetto compression test and let us know.

And, for the love of God, could we please get a little punctuation!?!? Reading your posts induces migraine headaches. Sorry, but I had to ask...

ok i pulled th 2 rotor's leading plug and i turned the motor by hand there is only on whoosh per full rotation and i fear that means only one apex seal so where do i get a rebuild kit and how hard/time consuming is it to rebuild a 12A
