my car starts fine, it idels just under 2, but when i rev it and take my foot off its kinda rough and shakes, but does NOT back fire.
Any advice????

 

ignition problem maybe? i dunno thats just a guess....can you get it to idle any lower or will it die?

 

no, at the highest it will be 2 and when its lower it will not die

 

when its idling lower does it idle smoothly? can you hear misfires?

 

your idle should be at 750 rpm

 

Yes, the fact that it idles at just under 2 grand is an excellent indication that you have issues. Ignition, possibly, but also potentially a vacuum leak. Check your rats nest for a leak. A search should show a few of the more popular methods.

vac leak, check all of your hoses and the emmisions crap
